Jalin Hyatt, Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie.

Our thoughts on 2023 dynasty fantasy football rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.
College Career Stats:
"Can he be anything other than just fast?"
Measurables:
6'0"
176 lbs.
4.40 40-yard dash
135.5 Burst Score - 97th percentile
40" vertical jump
135" broad jump
Strengths:
Hyatt displays elite straight-line speed and can get open vertically.
The 2022 film is loaded with explosive plays, although mainly vertical slot routes.
He tracks the ball naturally and runs underneath with a 58.3% success rate on targets 20 plus yards, which was #1 in FBS.
Jalin Hyatt scored five touchdowns in a single game versus Alabama and 15 touchdowns in 2022.
He finished college with an impressive 18.9 yards-per-reception (90%).
Hyatt led the country in 2022 with a 149 quarterback rating when targeted and a 147.7 on deep throws.
There is no denying the speed of Jalin Hyatt. He ran an impressive 10.46 100m and a 21.14 200m. There are even rumors that he ran a 4.31 electronically timed 40-yard dash.
He led all of FBS on yds of +20-yard receptions and received a 99.9 PFF grade on those receptions with only a 6.9% drop rate.

Weaknesses:
Hyatt is seen as an unpolished route runner but was asked to play a specific role at Tennessee.
Jalin will need to grow his route tree, as he took 88% of his snaps from the slot, and 20% of his targets came on screens.
He didn't face much jam coverage and faced press coverage on only 62 snaps.
The speed is crazy, but he is not very shifty and needs to be in space or blow by people to get open.
Jalin Hyatt could be considered a one-year wonder; he only had one season of substantial production.
Dynasty Outlook
How many fast players must we draft before we learn our lesson? Speed is the only thing he has going for him. All of his production came in one year of play, and a third of his touchdowns came in one game! Jalin Hyatt needs to work his body movement and route running to get open if his speed alone doesn't win him any battles. On one highlight, we saw him try and sell an out route, cut back in, and almost fall over from shaking his shoulders. His ADP is creeping into the middle of the second round, which is as high as he should go. Landing with the Giants is intriguing, but the less you pay to get him, the better.
How does it feel to draft him?
