Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Gerrid Doaks.

Our thoughts on 2021 dynasty fantasy football rookie Gerrid Doaks.
Gerrid Doaks, running back out of Cincinnati, and drafted in the seventh round by the Miami Dolphins. Doaks ran a 4.57 forty-yard dash and measured in at 5’11, 288 pounds on his pro day. He had zero drops in 2020, but only 331 career carries due to injuries in the last three seasons. Gerrid has a BMI in the 84th percentile, higher BMI’s can mean increased durability for running backs, but his injury history begs to differ.
"Doaks plays quicker than his fourty time."
Doaks runs well through contact with balance and looks quicker than other running backs of similar size. Gerrid Doaks has been reliable in the screen game, but Gaskin’s finished 2020 as one of the better receiving backs in the NFL, meaning Doaks could be limited in the passing game. His ability to pass block should earn him some time on the field.
Dynasty Outlook
Gerrid Doaks is probably one of the few late-running backs that will see the field earlier rather than later as long as he makes the most of his opportunities. At this point of the preseason, Doaks is probably being drafted a little higher than he once was, and we would rather draft Kylin Hill. For us, it goes, Kylin Hill, Elijah Mitchell, Gerrid Doaks, Chris Evans, and then Larry Roundtree III. Worth a late-round flyer pick, so you can't lose on him; you can only win big.
