Drake London, Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie
Our thoughts on 2022 NFL rookie wide receiver Drake London.
6'3"+ (close to 6'4") 219 lbs
20.76 years old
99th Percentile Breakout age.
33" arms, 9 3/8" hands, 77 3/4" wingspan
No timed drills at the Combine or Pro Day
"Every defender knew he was getting the ball and still couldn't stop him."
Long frame with room to grow.
Wins contested catches and plays through contact.
Fluid adjustments when attacking the ball and gets upfield quickly after the catch.
Long strider who creates cushion underneath and is a threat on deep routes.
Nearly impossible to defend on back-shoulder throws.
Coaches describe London as a "humble homebody" with a blue-collar work ethic.
Late hands help to disguise the arrival of the ball.
Two-sport athlete with a basketball background.
Not very explosive out of his breaks.
London had eight drops during the 2021 season.
He gets flagged for pushing off defenders downfield.
Struggles to make anyone miss in the open field.
Not the greatest route runner; primarily a pacing issue, which can be fixed.
Good blocker but can get sloppy when on the move
Every defender playing against USC knew the ball was going to London (averaged 15 targets per game) but he couldn't be stopped. Even though he broke his right ankle in October and missed the final four games of last season, he was still recognized as the top offensive player in the PAC-12. We think London ends up coming off the board in the mid-1st round. His big-play ability, combined with great size and ball skills, should provide a low floor for London in the NFL and on your dynasty roster.
