Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Tommy Tremble.
May 10, 2021
Our thoughts on 2021 dynasty fantasy football rookie Tommy Tremble.
Tommy Tremble, tight-end from Notre Dame, six-three, two hundred and forty-one pounds, ran a four-six three forty at his pro day. Tommy's dad was an all-SEC defensive back at Georgia, and he went on to play for the Eagles and won a Super Bowl with the Cowboys in 1995.
Tremble is an excellent physical, violent run blocker; he will get him on the field immediately if he can show up and do that against these pro defensive linemen. Every scout is amazed by his blocking ability. Tommy is a blocker first, but he can catch the ball and maintain his speed after the catch. He lacks experience as a receiver as he was on the field mainly as a blocker. Because he wasn't allowed to catch the ball too much, he needs to work on his route running to mature as a receiver.
Tommy Tremble will likely be a better pro football player and less of a dynasty fantasy asset. You see this a lot of times; college teams just don't use the tight end position; even Kyle Pitts, a guy like that, you would think that he would have been used more. Only one game over 50 yards ever is concerning, but it certainly doesn't look like he did anything wrong; he just wasn't used.
Tremble should have some longevity in the NFL as a blocker, so it's a guy that sticks around and you kind of flirt with but just doesn't ever pop. Think Jesse James or Vance McDonald in Pittsburgh. He will be another late-round rookie in your drafts. Maybe take a flyer on him and stick him on your taxi squad.
