Dynasty Fantasy Football Rookie Dyami Brown.

Our thoughts on 2021 dynasty fantasy football rookie Dyami Brown.
Not a guy we are really excited about, Dyami Brown, wide receiver out of North Carolina, six-foot and one-half inch, 189 pounds. He ran a 4.44 forty and scored 20 touchdowns and over a thousand yards over the last two seasons.
"As the field shrinks, he catches fewer passes."
Dyami Brown was fifth in deep catches and yards with a Pro Football Focus grade of 94.4 on twenty-yard receptions. That's considered elite. Brown had five receptions of 50 or more yards in 2020. Excellent over-the-shoulder catcher. Brown had two years of consistent production, unlike some wide receivers who have a boom year and then a down year or even slow upgrade to just the one good year. Two years of almost identical production.
Dyami Brown did an excellent job on slant routes and was capable of creating separation. Brown seemed to be most effective when running a slant. He can change speed and possess a quick release off the line. As a deep threat, he can adjust well to off-target throws and come back to the ball if it was thrown to the side or a little soft.
Brown lined up almost exclusively on the left side at North Carolina, but maybe that's what he was asked to do in the offense. This may mean he's going to have a little bit of a learning curve if he's asked to play all over the field. It seems that Brown had some focus drops with 15 combined drops the last two seasons. We would like to see him add some size and strength. At six feet, we would like to see him around two hundred pounds; his frame just isn't very impressive at this point. Physical corners could be a problem. When getting jammed, he was thrown a bit off his route. Dyami Brown could be compared size-wise to Stefon Diggs, and that has worked out for Diggs.
Dyami Brown just looked slow on the shorter routes, and maybe he was trying to set up a move, but it just felt like he was a little slower than when he knew he would be blazing down the field. Pro Football Focus other receiving grades declined with a shorter field. He received a grade of 86 on throws that ranged from ten to 19 yards. Shortening the field to one to 9 yards resulted in his grade dropping to 67. When the ball is thrown shorter, he's not completing them necessarily as much and is tackled at the point of contact.
Dynasty Outlook
Target Brown in the middle or late second.
